I collected the leaves in this picture last weekend after we went on a lovely autumn bike ride in Derbyshire with my parents. Peddling through the hills with soft afternoon light and falling leaves while my 1 year old son Joshua snoozed at the back was pretty idyllic! An outdoorsy autumn day definitely put us in the mood for warming seasonal food. We nearly lost our outdoor glow with a tediously long drive back home to London but we were cheered up by a delivery of lovely orange pumpkins! Teeny Tots Tagine
When autumn days finally start setting in, I love looking to warming, hearty one-pot dishes that are full of vegetables, colour and flavour. But even the most amicable of weaning babies have been known to struggle with the likes of the more bitter and strong-tasting veggies such as courgette, kale, beetroot, and spinach. Weaning woes…there is hope!

The six months flew by and it was soon time to try him on his taste adventure – I imagined our little family creating many happy memories of relaxed, fun mealtimes, especially after reading of other bloggers’ joyous experiences of the world of weaning. Daddy’s Dhal
It is said that smell can trigger memories more powerfully than any other sense, which is a wonderful thing when it comes to food and family time.
